Reserve an Indoor Backup
Outdoor ceremonies can be beautiful, but plans sometimes change. For CA$150 plus GST, you can reserve a designated ceremony time at The Ensora as an indoor alternative for your Intimate Elopement. Once activated, both your original Intimate Elopement reservation and your designated indoor time at The Ensora are secured, giving you two reserved options while you wait to see which plan works best for your day.
If you decide to use it, your existing Intimate Elopement moves indoors. The reservation provides use of the indoor ceremony space only. It is not an Ensora ceremony package and does not change the format or inclusions of your Vancity Officiant service.
How it works
Select Indoor Backup Reservation as an add-on when booking.
When we confirm your Intimate Elopement, we will also confirm the available indoor time at The Ensora and send you a separate payment link.
Once payment is received, both your original Intimate Elopement reservation and your designated indoor time at The Ensora are secured.
You can then keep your original outdoor plan, knowing that your indoor alternative is already reserved if you need it.
Secure Your Date
Select the Indoor Backup Reservation add-on when booking your Intimate Elopement. When we confirm your ceremony booking, we will confirm the available indoor ceremony time and send you a separate payment link for CA$150 plus GST. Your indoor time is secured once payment is received.

Yes. Intimate Elopements are legal marriage ceremonies performed by a BC licensed marriage officiant. The ceremony includes the required legal elements and marriage registration paperwork.
How many guests can attend an Intimate Elopement?
Intimate Elopements are designed for smaller gatherings and more private ceremony experiences. The package includes up to 10 guests and may be expanded to accommodate up to 20 guests with an additional guest fee.
Where can an Intimate Elopement take place?
Intimate Elopements may take place at a private home, restaurant, outdoor park, Airbnb, private venue, or a destination that carries special meaning to the couple. Some couples choose locations connected to their relationship story, favourite landscapes, travel memories, or places where they simply feel most like themselves. Couples are responsible for securing and arranging the ceremony location itself.
Can we include pets in the ceremony?
Yes. Intimate Elopements are one of the most popular ceremony options for couples who would love to include their pets. Because elopements are often held in more flexible and private settings, couples may have greater freedom to include their dogs or animal companions without some of the limitations that larger wedding venues may have. Couples may also explore Pawfect Witness™ pet-inclusive ceremony moments, with a donation-based contribution to an animal charity of their choice.
How does the Indoor Backup Reservation work?
Select the Indoor Backup Reservation add-on when booking your Intimate Elopement. When we confirm your ceremony booking, we will confirm the available indoor ceremony time and send you a separate payment link for CA$150 plus GST. The reservation is activated once payment is received. At that point, both your original Intimate Elopement reservation and your designated indoor time at The Ensora are secured. If you choose to use the indoor space, your existing Intimate Elopement ceremony moves to The Ensora. This reservation covers the indoor ceremony space only. It is not an Ensora ceremony package and does not change the format or inclusions of your Vancity Officiant service.
Does Intimate Elopement include a full wedding ceremony structure?
Intimate Elopement includes a simplified wedding ceremony structure with the essential legal and ceremonial moments, such as vows, exchange of rings, declaration of intent, pronouncement, and signing of documents. It does not include a full processional, recessional, rehearsal, storytelling, or additional rituals.
Can the ceremony be bilingual?
Yes. Intimate Elopements may be performed in English, Cantonese, or Mandarin, including bilingual or trilingual ceremony experiences for couples and families from different cultural backgrounds.

GST not included. Ceremony pricing includes travel within Vancouver (excluding Downtown Vancouver and UBC), Burnaby, Richmond, and within 15km of V3X. Additional travel and parking fees may apply outside these areas. Additional travel, hiking access, setup access, or location logistics fees may apply for remote, trail-access, or destination ceremony locations. Christmas and New Year holiday bookings are subject to an additional fee. Marriage licence fee is not included and must be applied for in person.
