When we organized a pop-up elopement event at the Chilliwack Sunflower Festival, we expected to remember the flowers. Instead, what stayed with us were three very different stories about marriage, family, and the reasons couples choose to say "I do."

When weather grounded a planned helicopter elopement in Whistler, Bobo and Thomas faced an unexpected choice. Rather than postponing everything, they honoured a meaningful wedding date with a legal marriage ceremony at Green Lake and returned two days later for a symbolic ceremony in the mountains. What followed became one of the most memorable ceremony stories we have witnessed, not because of the helicopter, but because of the perspective they brought to the experience.
