Two Ceremony Experiences
Classic Celebration and Signature Celebration are not different levels of the same ceremony. They reflect two different ways of working with your officiant.
Classic Celebration begins with an established ceremony structure. Your officiant takes the lead, while incorporating your personal vows, acknowledgements, tributes, and selected moments you choose to share.
Signature Celebration is developed more collaboratively. Through conversation, we take the time to understand your story, cultural or family considerations, rituals, and other elements that need to be explored before the ceremony takes shape.
The choice comes down to how you would like to work with your officiant: begin with an established approach and let your officiant lead, or take part in developing the ceremony together.

For couples who prefer their officiant to take the lead with an established ceremony structure, while still making room for personal vows, acknowledgements, tributes, and moments they choose to share.

For couples who want to work more closely with their officiant to develop the ceremony through conversation, whether that involves their story, cultural or family traditions, rituals, or a ceremony structure that requires more collaborative planning.

Our Philosophy
At Vancity Officiant, we believe a ceremony is not simply a presentation script being read aloud. It is a live moment of acknowledgment, emotional weight, support, and blessing.
While couples are always welcome to share personal stories, vows, and meaningful relationships they would like included, we do not approach the ceremony as a document to be endlessly revised line by line before the wedding day. Instead, we believe the role of an officiant is to guide and hold the experience with steadiness, warmth, and presence, so couples can fully experience the moment itself rather than feel responsible for managing every emotional part of it.
To us, a ceremony should feel grounded, human, and genuinely lived in the moment, not performed from a perfectly edited script.
GST not included. Travel fees may apply outside Metro Vancouver.

Smaller and more intimate wedding ceremonies for couples who prefer a quieter celebration experience with less structure, fewer guests, and more space to simply be present together.
Simple legal marriage ceremonies at our private officiant-led ceremony space for couples celebrating with as few as 4 guests or intimate gatherings of up to 15 guests.
