The Classic Celebration is intentionally designed for couples who prefer a simpler and more streamlined ceremony experience.
After officiating more than 2,000 ceremonies across British Columbia, we have learned which elements consistently help couples feel present, connected, and supported, and which elements often add complexity without adding meaning.
Classic Celebration is the result of that refinement.
The ceremony is guided by a refined framework, not a fixed script, allowing each ceremony to respond naturally to the couple, the guests, and the moment itself.
Rather than building every ceremony through extensive customization, multiple revisions, or elaborate storytelling, this experience is guided through the officiant’s structure, presence, and ceremony leadership.
Couples looking for a more collaborative planning process, extensive personalization, custom storytelling, and deeper ceremony development may wish to explore our Signature Celebration, which is specifically designed for that level of collaboration.

Does Classic Celebration include a full wedding ceremony structure?
Yes. Classic Celebration follows a complete wedding ceremony structure and may include traditional ceremony elements such as the processional, declaration of intent, exchange of rings, vows, signing of documents, pronouncement, and recessional. Rather than limiting the size of the wedding itself, Classic Celebration is designed for couples who prefer a more grounded and streamlined ceremony experience without extensive customization or layered storytelling elements.
Do we receive the ceremony script beforehand?
Rather than treating the ceremony as a fully editable performance script, we hope couples can experience the ceremony more like a meaningful gift prepared for them. Our intention is for the ceremony to unfold naturally in the moment itself, allowing couples to fully experience the emotions, acknowledgment, and joy of hearing it together for the first time on the wedding day.
What is a tribute or acknowledgment in a wedding ceremony?
A tribute or acknowledgment moment may include recognizing important family members, loved ones, cultural relationships, or meaningful people and experiences that have shaped the couple’s journey together. These moments are often woven naturally into the ceremony to help the experience feel more grounded, personal, and emotionally complete.
Does less personalization mean a more generic ceremony?
No. Each Classic Celebration cermeony is guided by a refined framework, but never delivered as a fixed script.
Do we need to write our own vows?
Yes. We encourage couples to write their own vows, as it can become one of the most meaningful and personal moments within the ceremony itself. For couples who are unsure where to begin, guided vow support is included to help make the process feel more approachable and natural.
Can we include our dog or pets in the ceremony?
Yes. Vancity Officiant welcomes pet-friendly and pet-inclusive wedding ceremonies. Couples who wish to meaningfully include their dog or animal companion in the ceremony may also explore our Pawfect Witness™ ceremony experience.

GST not included. Ceremony pricing includes travel within Vancouver (excluding Downtown Vancouver and UBC), Burnaby, Richmond, and within 15km of V3X. Additional travel and parking fees may apply outside these areas. Christmas and New Year holiday bookings are subject to an additional fee. Marriage licence fee is not included and must be applied for in person.
